IMPORTANT CHANGE REGARDING
VOTING ON ELECTION DAY
HB 176 was signed into Law on April 19, with an Immediate Effective Date.
This means that Voters can no longer Register and Vote on Election Day. Close of Registration for All Elections is NOON the day before the Election. This includes the School and Special District Elections being held on May 4, 2021.
If you are not registered to Vote, please Register by Noon on May 3, 2021 or you will not be able to Vote in the School or Colstrip Medical District Elections.
For Schools, Voter registration must still be done through the County Election Office and any late registrants will bring a Certificate of Late Registration to the School District Clerks to receive a ballot. Late registrants may bring their Certificate to the district after the new late registration deadline, but must be in line to receive a ballot no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
If you have questions or would like to make sure you are Registered to Vote, please log into https://app.mt.gov/voterinfo/ or call the Clerk and Recorder’s Office at 406-346-7318.
